    Ce crayon est le plus vieux connu au monde, il a été trouvé sur le toit d’une maison allemande construite en 1630, probablement laissé là par un charpentier pendant la construction.
    Il ressemble étonnement à un crayon moderne avec sa mine en graphite entre deux bouts de bois.
    Il est désormais dans la collection de crayons et stylos de Faber-Castell.
